We were SO happy when we walked into our reception and saw the cake of our dreams!! We gave Sumi a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like and she executed it perfectly. PERFECTLY. We had so many compliments on the cake.. not just on the appearance, but also the taste. The cake was delicious! Sumi was such a pleasure to work with. She worked with our budget and presented us with different options to help us achieve maximum awesomeness! We will continue to order all of our cakes from Sumi!

DELICIOUS top tier cutting cake and cupcakes! I'm picky about desserts in general - I don't like them to be too sweet, cakes have to be just the right moistness, and I usually dislike frosting. However, Sumi completely wowed us at her tasting - mostly with the deliciousness of the cakes but also with her professionalism, her clear attention to detail, and the great prices too. I actually got to eat my cutting cake (strawberry bavarian) and cupcakes on the day of, and they were perfectly moist, not too sweet, amazing lemon buttercream and chocolate ganache that I wanted to eat by the spoonful. Also complimentary cupcake stand because of our wedding coordinator referral. Not too expensive either ($2-3 per cupcake). Highly recommended to anyone.

We went for a tasting when we met with our coordinator (After The Engagement) and we immediately loved it. It's like no cake we've had before. Everything was so delicious without having that over-sugary punch like most cakes tend to have. Our wedding cake was perfect. It was so beautiful and I still have guests talking about it. It's almost a month after my wedding and my cousin still won't stop talking about wanting another piece! It was a huge hit at my wedding. Thanks, Sumi!

Sumi made us a cupcake tower for our wedding last month. We were pretty indecisive in the beginning on what we wanted, but Sumi was very patient with us in deciding the right route to go. She designed a very modern top tier cake so we would still have something to cut, and the design of the cupcakes was perfect. All of our guests raved about the look and the taste of our cake. And to top it off, Sumi's prices are very reasonable, can't get much...

We had many people tell us that our cake tasted great! I will admit that I did not actually get to eat any until the next day, but even then it was great. I also ordered a birthday cake for my Mom and she absolutely loved it!

Sumi is amazing and so professional. My husband and I just planned a destination wedding in San Diego from Colorado. This was very small and we only had a total of 12 people but we wanted a special cake for our dinner. I worked with Sumi over the phone and over email only and was nervous about never tasting the cakes or meeting her; I had no reason to be. We were so happy with how the cake turned out and it tasted wonderful!

I loved the cake, it was delicious no matter what flavor you picked! We were very happy with our cake and would definitely recommend her!!!

Sumi is a great choice for a wedding cake baker! She did a lovely cake for me, I really didn't know what I wanted so I just let her do her thing and she did a great job. Unfortunately I did not get to taste the cake, neither at the tasting (which I had my mother do - I was an out-of-state bride) nor at the wedding, but I hear it was delicious! I am really sad I didn't get to taste it! But in any case Sumi was great, did a beautiful cake and did not make me feel embarrassed about being on such a tight budget. Thanks Sumi!

We (and ALL of our guests) were absolutely blown away by our cake. It exceeded all of our greatest expectations. Sumi is such a pleasure to work with. She is so kind, polite, and professional. She really knows what she is doing. By that I mean, she knows not only how to make a delicious and gorgeous cake but everything about it. She knows the optimum time to leave the cake out prior to serving to ensure the cake retains its beauty and taste. She knows what kind of coloring on the flowers (if they are being provided by another vendor). She REALLY cares about your wedding and is very passionate about what she does. I have changed my cake on her probably a thousand times and she showed no complaints and was happy to collaborate and really llisten to what you want instead of pushing what she wants which I find a lot of vendors will do. Her stenciling and floral arrangements were beautiful and the cake so fresh and delicious that even some of the guests loved eating the fondant! The cake was still delicious a month after our wedding. It was a pleasure working with Sumi and we are both looking forward to any excuse we can to order another fabulous cake from her.

In a word, Delicious! We wanted our wedding cake to be as pretty as a picture, but of course wanted it to taste great too, and the Strawberry Bavarian Cream cake Sumi made for us was absolutely both! We wanted to write a great review for Sumi not only because she did such an incredible job for us, but also because other people need to experience how amazing she is at her craft. Thank You Sumi!!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sumi's Oven! I was having a hard time finding a place to order my wedding cake from since me and my (now) husband have some dietary restrictions (no eggs)... Sumi was extremely accommodating and a pleasure to work with... she listened to what we wanted in terms of both cake flavor (we don't like our cakes to be too sweet) and decor. We were absolutely blown away by the results!! the cake looked better than I had imagined and the taste/texture were amazing!! our guests couldn't not believe it was an egg-less cake!! We've already gone back to her for our anniversary cake (yes, we ate the top tier during the party as well... it was too delicious to just freeze for a whole year!).. highly recommend!!

Sumi is very sweet and professional. She did a wonderful job with our wedding cake and all of our guests raved on how delicious it was. (The flavors we ordered were the Strawberry Bavarian and Vanilla Marble with Raspberry.) I would definitely hire her again for any future events.

Sumi was by far the best baker around! We looked around everywhere and simply couldn't find exactly what we were looking for... until... we met Sumi! She was a pleasure to work with and her cake tasting knocked our socks off. Sumi had both the amazing cake taste as well as the look that we wanted. Since I thought flavor was most important, and my groom thought looks were important, Sumi was the perfect match for us!

Sumi was a pleasure to work with. We tried 4 different vendors before settling with Sumi. She had the moistest and tastiest cake. It was also nice working with the actual pastry chef, Sumi. We went an untraditional route and provided our guests a choice from 3 vastly different desserts, instead of a wedding cake. We presented her with ideas of what we envisioned our desserts to be and she was able to produce amazing creations. It was unreal. We had a triple chocolate pyramid w/ a crispy wafer layer, a lemon curd ricotta cheesecake w/ lavender crust and a white chocolate pistachio tart. All of them were to die for. We also hired Sumi to plate the desserts at our reception party. We thought it was nice touch to have the pastry chef present for our wedding, to make sure she got the recognition she deserved. We cannot think of any criticism. Her prices were very fair. She accommodated our desire for custom catered desserts. They tasted exceptional. We wish Sumi many, many years of continued success. I love Sumi! She's such a sweetheart and a real pleasure to work with! She was the first and only cake vendor we tried, and I don't regret not going to any other tastings because she fit everything we were looking for. She's friendly and easy to talk to, which made me feel very comfortable. Her cakes are absolutely amazing, in both taste and design! My husband and I do plan on using her services again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for cakes or desserts for a special occasion.

Sumi was more than helpful. She seemed to really care about helping us achieve what we wanted and stay within our budget. The cake looked EXACTLY like I wanted and tasted soooooo amazing! The only problem was I didn't take her advice and ordered too much cake-whoops! Needless to say we were happy to have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially after squeezing into that wedding dress! =)

I provided pictures to Sumi and she made a wedding cake that was exactly what I wanted. And the groom's cake exceeded my expectations! During the reception, I noticed many guests stopping by the cake display to take pictures. I surprised my husband with a groom's cake in the shape of a humidore, complete with cigars inside. It looked fantastic. And the taste of cake was wonderful and perfect. We received many compliments on our cake, both for design and for flavor. Working with Sumi was easy and I would highly recommend her cakes for any occasion.

Fantastic Cake!!! My husband and I received so many compliments on our wedding cake during and after our wedding. I highly recommend the orange cake with passion fruit filling, it is to die for. Sumi was great to work with and very professional. I plan to order birthday and special occasion goodies from her in the very near future.
