Using Shellie with Martino’s Catering was one of the smartest decisions I made about my entire wedding. I wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted but she very patient, creative and accommodating with my very vague ideas. In addition to not knowing what I wanted, it was even more of a nerve-wracking experience because I was all the way out in Washington, D.C. while trying to plan a gorgeous San Diego beach wedding. However, it really eased my mind that Shellie was always very accessible to my sister who did most of the coordinating for me from San Diego; she was always available to meet with my sister or to talk to her over the phone. I was convinced that we should use Shellie immediately after enjoying a magnificent tasting where my mother and I tasted a wide range of very flavorful dishes. Though it was hard to pick only a few, she was very helpful in explaining what sorts of appetizers, salads, main dishes and desserts would all go together. Everyone loved the food and desserts at the wedding and the servers were very pleasant and all-around great. Also, after changing our mind about the florist we had initially chosen, Shellie stepped right in and was able to coordinate the flowers we used for the ceremony and reception too without much notice. She really understood the whole beach theme I was going for and really helped me specifically tailor the bridesmaid bouquets, table centerpieces, buffet table décor and many other gorgeous touches. Shellie really served as a great as a pseudo-wedding coordinator as she worked very well with my sister and the DJ to get the timeline and other logistics down just right. When an unexpected storm made my outdoor beach wedding impossible, Shellie stepped in and helped my sister find an unbelievably great alternate indoor location (also by the water) that worked out perfectly without spending much more money! She knew that I was saddened by the last minute change and took it upon herself to add the “beachy” garnishes that were now appropriate for inside: seashells and sand in the bottom of the centerpieces, seashells and sand (brown sugar) sprinkled around the cake, and other tropical plumerias created a beautiful archway. We hired Martino's October 2009 to do our wedding of 275 guests. This was a great experience. I knew from the beginning that it would be great, however it really was a perfect fairytale wedding. The food was amazing, as well as the flowers were beautiful, and coordinating was so worth getting. We shopped around and could not believe that that only was the food wonderful, but the value of the package. Many friends of ours did not get half of what we got with all the upgrades and paid much more. Our cocktail hour really got things off on a great note. We had a beautiful ice sculpture with a cold seafood station (huge shrimp, fresh crab, and oysters). We are huge foodies so the menu and it being very unique was really important to us. The servers also had prawns stuffed with jalapenos and cheese wrapped in bacon-yummy!Dinner was really fun with International food stations that Shellie came up with. All the food stations were also perfectly decorated in huge peonies. I could go on and on with all the wonderful things, but I just want to mention that if you want a perfect wedding and love one stop shop (with high quality) you dont need to look any further. We recently got our pictures back are so excited about how beautiful the day was and flawless.

Martino's was great! Shelly made my wedding day unique and beautiful. They went out of their way to accommodate everything we needed and wanted for the reception. I would recommend them to all brides wanting an elegant full service caterer.

I was very pleased the food and service was excellent. They worked hard with what types of food we wanted and worked within our budget. I would recommend Martino's to everyone!
