My husband and I hired Paul for our wedding in January, 2012. He was absolutely FANTASTIC! He was recommended to us by our venue as their preferred DJ and after meeting with him, we could see why. He is professional, energetic, likable, dependable and most of all affordable. He has a true ability to work a crowd like no other and our guests just LOVED him!We did not have the traditional music choices most couples pick for their wedding day. We put together lists of different songs that we liked and asked Paul to fill in the blanks with what he thought would work best and we couldn't have been more pleased his choices! He has a terrific collection of all genres of music. If you are looking for someone to add that extra something to your wedding day, Paul Peterson is definitely your guy!Thank you for making our day so amazing Paul! 5 stars does not seem adequate to descibe the level of awesomeness that Paul brought to our wedding. I read his reviews online, and then met him in person in the planning stages, and I could tell her had a great personality and would be really easy to work with. However, Paul went above and beyond the duties of a DJ. He got the whole crowd (even my grandmom) up and moving. He even at one point was out on the dance floor Break Dancing. Yes you heard it, there was breakdancing at our wedding. Amazing. I feel like for how amazing Paul is, he is practically giving away his services, his prices were the best around!Book him now!!

DJ Paul did a great job at our wedding! The music at the ceremony was timed perfectly, he had great music selection at the reception and kept the party flowing, and he is by far the most affordable DJ we found. I wish I could give him a 6 for the value. Everyone has said our wedding was one of the best ones they have been too. Thank you DJ Paul for helping make our day so wonderful!

Paul was wonderful! He coordinated with the other vendors, which allowed my wedding to run as smoothly as possible. Paul had every single guest (168) on the dance floor at one point because he is that great! We had SUCH a FUN, AMAZING time dancing the night away to his music! We very highly recommend Paul!

DJ PAUL P. WAS ONE OF THE BEST ASSETS TO MY WEDDING! His outgoing personality assured all guests had a good time. He even joined others on the dance floor. Everyone was so impressed with his service. He even met with us a couple times prior to the wedding day. This is very rare, so we so appreciated that he was willing to put in the extra time to make sure our day was everything we had hoped it would be.

Paul is the best DJ in San Diego! We were married in May, 2011 at the Hilton Bayfront San Diego and Paul made the wedding perfect! DJ Paul is the only DJ you will want for your wedding! He is FUN, PROFESSIONAL, RESPONSIVE,and overall FANTASTIC! Paul did our wedding and he was the best DJ we could have asked for. He took guest requests, played everything we wanted, and made sure EVERYONE had a good time. The dance floor was packed all night and all of our guests commented on how great Paul was. I would hire him for any event and if you want to have a good time you need to hire him!!!!

Paul Peterson is definitely the DJ you want at your wedding. From the beginning he has been professional, prompt and reassuring. I knew from the moment I met him he would be a great DJ and a good person. Paul provided me with emails from twenty of his previous brides and each one responded with only positive feedback. Paul takes an honest interest about you and your special day. Choosing the person to help coordinate your most important day is not easy. And choosing the person to read your crowd and play the right music is one of the most important decisions you can make. Your DJ runs the show and creates the mood of the reception. Paul was always available by phone or email for questions. He also gave great advice. When the day came Paul wore many different hats and coordinated with all the other vendors to make sure I had no worries about the timing of things. The music was perfect and he played my requests at the right moments. He was able to please the young and the old. My guests had such a great time dancing. Many of them raved about him and his wonderful work ethic. So if you’re in the market for a great DJ, you won't be disappointed with Paul.

Paul is awesome! My wife and I were undecided on using a DJ for budgetary reasons. We found a couple of listings online, and Paul was the first we met with because of his rates. I knew from the initial meeting that he was our guy. He made it clear that his approach was to make the event as smooth and enjoyable for everyone. He followed our desired format/song selections to a T and went above and beyond by explaining ahead of time the time frame and process and introducing himself to those giving toasts, dancing - mom, dad, best man, etc. With Paul you get the best DJ at the best rate. He could justifiably charge much more, but he is truly invested in making the reception experience memorable for everyone and takes the most pride in top notch customer service. Choosing vendors can be a long, difficult process, so save yourself a lot of time and headache by making ther right choice for your DJ. Hire Paul. Period.

Paul did our wedding here in San diego on March 14th, 2010. He is the best- so fun- he made us laugh- all my guests had a blast! He had the 80 year olds out there on the dance floor! Heard of him through a friend, met up and loved his outlook on life and his work. Did a great job @ a great price with a fun professionalism, and a smile the whole time. A pleasure to work with!!!

If you're getting married, and you don't at least consider Paul to be your DJ, you're missing out on an AMAZINGLY FUN party!My expectations for Paul's DJ'ing were very high. He came very highly recommended from some friends of my wife (we were just married 12/10/09). They told us he was super fun, knew how to get EVERYONE on the dance floor, keep the party going the whole time, and just a pleasure to work with. With the high praises I heard about Paul, I thought all the talk was too good to be true. But when I saw him doing his work in person, HE BLEW MY EXPECTATIONS OUT OF THE WATER! I was expecting a fun time, with some dancing and whatever, but I could not have expected how amazingly fun he made our reception. EVERYONE was dancing (including Paul at some times :). EVERYONE had huge smiles on their faces, having such a great time. There were times I just had to sit back and take in how good he was at keeping the fun and dancing going. He also worked as our MC and never missed a beat with introductions, announcements, etc. Words can't express how much I enjoyed Paul's work during our reception.But that wasn't all Paul did for us. My wife and I got married at the Temple in Heritage Park in Old Town San Diego. It's a beautiful, simple temple, but no sound system and a little difficult for everyone to hear when the place fills up. Paul showed up for our ceremony and put a wireless mic on me and our friend (who was performing the ceremony). It worked great! Paul had a schedule of our ceremony and controlled when each of our mic's were turned on so that everyone got to hear every single part of the ceremony we wanted them to hear. After the ceremony, he got over to the reception and had the party going by the time the guests arrived.To top it all off, Paul was very inexpensive and had very reasonable deposit. When we started comparing DJs (as Paul himself encouraged us to do), there was just no comparison, financially or energy-wise. Paul charges so much less than every other professional DJ we looked at, and gave us so much more than we could have expected from someone charging 3 times as much.You can tell Paul loves what he does. He made it his mission to give us the most memorable day of our lives, and he did it. I can't thank him enough for the energy and professionalism and know-how and, most imporantly, fun he put into our special day. I'll remember our reception and the huge role Paul played in it forever. THANKS PAUL!

Paul performed the DJ duties at our daughter's wedding (115 people at the L'Auberge), and we are still talking about it! Wow ... what a great job. The venue was perfect and he created the right "vibe" we were looking to achieve. He was absolutely competitive ... worked with my daughter and coordinator in selecting the music and attending to the details ... absolutely was high energy and professional ... and most importantly bridged the generations and got everyone to dance. As the Mother of the Bride I appreciated his professionalism in making our special day his special day.

Awesome. Hire this guy. I was a guest at a wedding (around 2001 or so).... this guy stood out. He didn't steal the show, he just made sure that there was a show.Fast Forward to 2009. Who is this guy? He is the guy that keeps the party going! His mission is to keep the party going with the music. It doesn't matter if Aunt Ethel and Uncle Fred aren't dancers, They will be when Paul is the DJ.Most recently I was the Best Man in a wedding. Paul was the consumate proffesional. You seriously have the best prices in town, they cannot be beat (most DJ's charge double the price!!). The DJ is the one person who can truly make or break the wedding, and you made it.
