Everyone we came in contact with at Grove Pastry Shop was helpful and nice. We gave them a picture of what we wanted our cake to look like - and it came out better looking than the picture! They are also VERY affordable. I definitely recommend Grove Pastry Shop to anyone looking for a cake special cake - they do a lot of custom work as well for non-wedding events.

Great service and such good cake. They are all so sweet here and love what they do. Their cake tastes very good - not full of sugar. We loved their work!

What a delicious cake! It was done in a fondant and snowflakes in 3-d...all in pearl white. It tasted fabulous and everyone loved it! Of course it was from one of the oldest bakeries in the county!! Always professional, always friendly and always delicious! In fact...they made our wedding cake back in 1973 for my husband & I.
Wow...if that's not a testament of time!! This wedding was our daughter's and it was every bit as good as I remember it to be from years ago!! Highly recommended!

I loved my cake. I went to several bakery's to find the perfect price for my perfect cake. I had a new year's eve wedding and I had the cake I wanted in mind already. Several other bakeries I went to discouraged me about what I wanted and if they didn't discourage me than the price was outrageous. At Grove Pastry they made me feel comfortable with them making my dream cake and it was very affordable. The day of the wedding I couldn't be more impressed the cake was more beautiful than I ever imagined and looked amazing. I received ton of compliments not only on the the look but the amazing taste!

Yummy cake! But they forgot to deliver the Surprise Grooms Cake with the wedding cake and had to return ... cake arrived after the guests and many people didnt get to see it :(

Grove pastry shop has the best tasting wedding cake and are great to work with. We had a unique cake idea that many other vendors would not even attempt to do and Grove Pastry shop not only was able to accommodate our special request they nailed it.

I was obsessed with my wedding cake and hands down the Grove has the best cake in town!!! NO CONTEST! We had 3 flavors-carrot, luscious lemon and the strawberry whipped cream cake...all absolutely DELICIOUS! I probably went to 7-10 different cake vendors and no one could compete.

Our cakes were absolutely fabulous, and even though we had two cakes, they were so delicious that they were all eaten! The tasting was wonderful, with lots of great choices, and they were very patient in waiting for me to finish the design. Beautiful work creating red silhouettes of bamboo and foxes on the white fondant, and a great replica of the Companion Cube from Portal! Thank you so much!

Grove pastry shop did an amazing job with my cake. I never once had to worry about something going worng or my cake not coming out right. It was both beautiful and tasted amazing. My guests all loved the cake and couldn't get enough. It was worth every penny. The next time I nee a cake Grove Pastry Shop will be my number one choice. Thank you Grove pastry shop!

The cake from Grove was AMAZING! We had a mango layer and a lemon layer and everyone loved them! The cake was absolutely gorgeous too!

Grove was a delightful Cakery and I was so glad that I went to them for a tasting. My parents had used Grove when they got married and so it was a natural for me to taste their cakes. They were definitely not "my mother's bakery," they had great creativity & design. The cake samples were delish and the final product was perfect as well. They had a busy day for delivery on my wedding day, but they worked very hard to be sure my cake was there ON TIME. They delivered on their promise and I was not disappointed. We had the delish Mango cake (I know, but it's GREAT) and Strawberry & White Chocolate as the middle layer. FAB! Thanks Grove & Luis....

This was my favorite vendor. Our cake was so fabulous and delicious. They really took the time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I will be using them for all of my cake needs. I just loved the design and the white chocolate sea shells were amazing. We ordered way more cake then we needed and we still didn't have any left. Our guests kept coming back for more. Thank you for making our cake so memorable.

Their cake is great tasting, but we will never order from them again. They made us a five tier round cake when we orderd a square cake. A few of my guest said their pieces of cake were burnt. We ordered my bridal shower cake from here as well and they didn't even complete frosting it, and fondant pieces wouldn't even stay together. There cakes are delicous but they do what they want, not what the paying customer wants.

My husband and I would like to thank the Grove Bakery Shop for handling our wedding cake. I was born and raised in Spring Valley, CA just outside of Lemon Grove. My family has been coming here for over 50 years to get our birthday cakes and wedding cakes. It was a pleasure working with all the staff there. Our wedding cake was very special to us, and we wanted to have the decorations/ colors match my husband and best man's wedding shirts. We were able to bring the shirts into the shop and they were photographed. We were so impressed with the look of our cake, the presentation and most importantly the taste. There was absolutely no cake left over.
Thank you again Grove Bakery for helping make our day so very special. We look forward to working with you again for many more years to come.

Everybody at this bakery was so very helpful. From having our Cake tasting, to being able to bring the wedding attire into the shop for them to photograph to the presentation and set up the day of our wedding.
