The cake was perfect and exactly what my wife and I had in mind for a cake. We didn't want too spend way too much just on a cake like some people and didnt want to have something really dull and simple. Crumbs of Paris had a few really good cakes to choose from, and the one we chose was great in our taste. It was delicious too!

When deciding on a bakery for our wedding cake, we had gone to a couple tastings and went to Crumbs of Paris on recommendations of several people, we had seen them at the Bridal Bazaar and read about them in The Knot so we figured why not. We went for our second tasting and the cake was really good and we choose two different flavors and worked out a design, our wedding was Christmas themed so our cake was going to look like christmas presents and I was going to provide them with ribbon to use for the cake. So we booked them and paid the deposit. A week prior to our wedding I went to the bakery to give them the ribbon and to pay off my balance, everything was fine and they confirmed all the details. However, on the day of my wedding, there is no wedding cake. Our wedding coordinator had been trying to get ahold of them only to find out their number was disconnected. A friend who was at our wedding, had a friend of hers (who lives in El Cajon) drive by and the place was absolutely empty! Their website is still up as if they were still in business. I have no idea what happened to Crumbs of Paris all I know is that they pretty much took my money and ran..

We found this bakery at the San Diego bridal show and this was one of two that we actually liked but the other was in La Jolla so we went with Crumbs of Paris so we went with them thinking they must be cheaper. The cake tasted very good and I believe the delivery was on time. The only thing was the cake did not look like I had asked. I had ordered a brown square cake much earlier than when the wedding was so perhaps that was part of the problem. I had a three tiered cake with baby blue dots on the first and third tiers and strips on the second tier that looked very similar to one that was in the office that I had pointed at. The stripes ended up being very thick and the contrast of the colors just did not look very good especially in some photos. The other thing was I had requested the crystal beaded topper that was in their office but instead they made white seashells and put it on top and I think that made it even worse. Overall, I would probably use them again but I would be VERY specific on what I wanted and make sure they wrote out more descriptions of what I wanted too.

Delish! Our cake was so yummy and beautiful. The bakery nailed the design and colors that we wanted. Simple and elegant was the look we were going for and they did it without making the cake look boring. The service was exceptional at the tastings and the price was right.

Overall I was very pleased with the cake they made for my wedding. Only a few things that went wrong. The times were mixed up, they had two different delivery times, so my cake arrived 2 hours late. Then the delivery person was carrying it like you would a pizza, then he tripped.... Luckily it was okay, but had scared a lot of my guests

First, if you are having your wedding on a military base make sure the cake driver's license is not expired! Luckily, I had someone at the base entrance for any problems and got the driver in. The cake was BEAUTIFUL, the white chocolate chip mousse was DELICIOUSSSS.....BUT, the red velvet cake was not red velvet, so disappointed in that. Not only was it not really red velvet, but it didn't taste good to me like it did in the taste testing. PLUS, we had scheduled for them to make the top look like sand that someone drew a heart in and put my name + my groom's name on "4-ever" on it. It looked like the put some white sugar on top with just the writing we wanted.

There Cake is soooooo good, its moist the flavor is amazing and the cakes look so pretty i loved mine, the people are nice and helpful and the cake tasting is fun, they do themed cakes or plain traditional ones whatever you like, everyone loved the cake i did not have that much left! my flavors were red velvet, strawberry, lemon and chocolate with chocolate mouse with little chocolate chips in the mouse so good and you get for your one year a small cake that's included so no saving cake in your freezer for a year just to have old nasty cake, now you can get a fresh one for the two of you to celebrate!

The cake was far more delicious and inexpensive than some of the other local, more well-known competitors. My only complaint is that they did not explain that there structural pieces inside my three tier cake that needed to be returned to them. As a result, I didn't know to follow up with the reception site and lost my refundable deposit.

When we did the first cake tasting, the girl who helped us was brand new. She told us they couldn't do exactly white, it was more of an off white color...which was wrong, they did make a white frosting and I had this error corrected. They are sort of in a not upscale location, but they delivered the cake to us on time and it looked lovely. The only thing that was a problem was that the cake was supposed to be square, not round, but no one but me noticed that anyway. The customer service is average, nothing special. I had to use them because it was the place my reception site used, so I didn't have a choice. I thought the cake tasted really good though, and despite the mistake in shape, it was very pretty. Plus, I think the name is stupid. :)

My wedding was on 06/07/08 at 6PM. The delivery driver only brought 2 sheet cakes at first at around 5:40PM. That is what our guests saw when they came in....2 plain white sheet cakes. Finally at about 6:20PM the delivery driver arrived with a sorry excuse for a wedding cake and said he had forgot the main cake LOL! HOW DO YOU "FORGET" THE MAIN CAKE! We said we wouldn't let it ruin our day so we waited till we got back from our honeymoon. Customer service is lousy at best. Ashley the manager never appologized and tried to make it seem as of we were exagerating....until we brought pictures of the cake. She admitted the cake was "messy". IT LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE QUALITY THEY HAD IN THERE PICTURES! It looked like a child had done it in a hurry. Fernando the owner is a sorry excuse for a business owner. We got ahold of him once and then never again. He is a ghost. If you have a complaint don't even bother asking for him, he will NEVER return a call and he is NEVER in the office. Finally Ashley called me and said, "We feel your complaints are unfounded and we aren't going to do anything for you". This after she admitted the cake was not of their standards. Please please please stay away from this company for your own sake. I wouldn't wish this kind of treatment on my worst enemy. Don't go with this company and take a chance your big wedding cake will be a wedding disaster.

The service was alright, but the cake was great! It was the most tasteful cake and was done how I wanted it done. They also made our tuxedo strawberries which everyone loved! I have since used them for birthday cakes and will continue using them. Arrived on time at the wedding reception site and made me worry free!

Out of all of the places we went to taste cakes, this BY FAR was the best taste, quality and presentation! They were also willing to work with our budget, and if there was something they did not have, they offered to create it. They were very professional and the quality of the cakes were great! We felt as though we were getting quality cake for our money. I would HIGHLY recommend Crumbs of Paris, and I have continued to order for all other occasions!

Two days before my wedding they called and needed something signed by me they forgot to give me. I was not working and thus not near a fax machine. Instead of acknowledging their mistake and accomadating a stressed bride, they insisted I figure it out. I did wedding cupcake tower looked beautiful! Stained people's tongues and anything else.

I love cake so this was something I did not want to skimp on for our wedding. We decided to go with Crumbs of Paris because they had the best cakes and were available on our date. The pricing is quite high, they are courteous but don't seem too personable - I felt that they didn't really appreciate our business. We went with chocolate cake and it looked wonderful and tasted delicious. All of the guests raved about it for weeks after our wedding. We had a small cake we saved for our one year anniversary and it did still taste very good a year later!

The only catering you could bring in at our venue is the cake – in fact, you were required to find an outside bakery. Our cake was SO GOOD! We chose two flavors, peaches & cream and pineapple marscapone. It was so hard to decide on what we wanted! At our cake testing there was no less than 10 flavors to sample, maybe more! I brought in a lousy printed picture of a cake design I wanted them to mimic and they did a pretty good job replicating it. The customer service overall was very good and they allowed me to pay for the deposit and remaining balance over the phone with my credit card. (Very convenient.)
