Bob was a great DJ. He used a lot of the songs that we requested and gave to him. He kept everything flowing and made sure everyone kept dancing.He was very easy to work with.We would highly recommend using his services!!

Artistic Productions came recommended to us by our wedding reception venue, the Manchester Grand Hyatt in downtown San Diego. Upon first meeting of Bob and Merrylin, we knew they would be the perfect fit for us and our event. We literally booked them on the spot.Bob was the DJ and emcee for our wedding reception in July 2010. One of the many things I appreciate about Bob is the fact that he told us up front this was about us and not about him, there would be no cheesiness about it. He was absolutely perfect, said the right amount but not too much, played music that everyone loved, most importantly us. We even extended our reception because everyone was having such a great time dancing.Their website is great, they have a section for "love it", "like it", and "hate it", so that you can go in and give an idea of your musical tastes. Bob did a great job pulling from our lists and getting the vibe of what we like from just a few song selections. We had several people comment on how great the music was, even the background music during dinner, which usually goes unnoticed. My husband wanted to make a mix to be played during the cocktail hour, and Bob happily obliged. We burned the CD and sent it to him, and he played it for us as our background music during that time. Bottom line is Bob was very flexible and happy to do whatever to suit our needs.Artistic Productions was by far the "favorite" of my wedding vendors. They were easy to communicate with and I knew that I didn't have anything to worry about with Bob behind the mic. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a fun yet classy, easy to work with DJ in San Diego. Thanks so much for everything!

Merrylin and her husband Bob run Artistic Productions. Although only one of them DJs your wedding, both of them work together on the music prior to the wedding. From our first meeting with Merrylin and Bob, we felt instantly comfortable. In fact, they were the first vendor we met with and we decided to go with them right away. It was so easy. They have a website that is relatively easy to use which you use to tell them which songs are “must play” and which ones you don’t want to hear. Closer to the wedding, we also met with Merrylin and she got to know us well enough that she just created a “vibe” for each portion of the wedding based on our preferences (ie. the cocktail hour, dinner, etc.). We of course chose specific songs for different parts of the wedding like the processional, sand ceremony, first dance and cake cutting, but we didn’t have to choose a bulk of the songs- she just “got” us and what we wanted to create. Also, we did choose some very specific songs for different parts of the ceremony and reception that were not on their website, but Merrylin was happy to go on iTunes and purchase the versions we wanted. The ceremony/reception turned out great- Merrylin kept the evening moving and kept everyone dancing!

What can I say.....Merrylin was amazing at my wedding. She was professional, and everything ran soooooooooooo smooth. She kept the dance floor full the whole night. Can't wait until we get to party with her again!!!!!!!!

Merrylin saved the day when our DJ cancelled at the last minute. She worked with us on the tight schedule and everything turned out perfectly! I had such a great time grooving with my husband and friends. Thank you so much!!

Artistic productions made what looked like another complicated and stress-inducing wedding service a pure delight to plan. All other DJ's we looked at were over the top and way too interested in selling us a party we didn't want for our intimate gathering - AND at a price that didn't make sense. With Merrylin Brichmann, we immediately knew she would taylor the event to our personal music tastes (80's european pop, french caribbean, contemporary and classical) and create the perfect atmosphere for dancing (using creative yet subtle lighting in our ballroom). Our family and friends thought she was not only professional but she orchestrated the evening beyond expectations. Merrylin did an excellent job emceeing at our wedding! She helped with the timeline, she played the music we wanted, and she offered some good advice about how to make our reception different and flow well.Merrylin met with us when we were choosing our dj, and I liked her from the beginning. My now husband Paul wasn't sure about having a woman as the dj, but I talked him into it. He was very glad we chose her! Everything went extremely well, and Merrylin did everything we wanted, including not playing the naughty music until our priest left the reception. Everyone danced the whole night - until midnight! We received many compliments on how great the music was and how much fun everyone had at our wedding! I highly recommend Merrylin and Artistic Productions.

Bob Brichmann was our DJ. He did a fine job. He played the kind of music that we wanted. Unfortunately, he did not really mix anything. One song would end and he'd start another. I probably could have put an ipod on. We didn't ask him to do much talking or working the crowd, so he was quiet (at our request). When he did introduce people for toasts and such he was very good. Overall, he was easy to get in touch with, affordable, and followed instructions well. But the mixing was lacking, which is a bit surprising.

For our wedding we knew we wanted our guests to dance and have a great time! Both Bob and Merrilyn were extremely helpful to us when we were planning our wedding (they worked great with all of our other vendors). Bob ended up being our DJ for the night and he did an amazing job. Bob was very professional and responsive to our guests music tastes, he made sure the party kept going and that EVERYONE was dancing and having an amazing time! Overall we would strongly recommend Artistic Productions to our friends (and anyone wanting their reception to be memorable for the right reasons... great music, lots of dancing!!!).
